    1. Ezio's waiting...

by , 01-20-2011 at 10:10 PM (Insights from Id)
Generic, unmemorable sex dream with my husband. I think it was a threesome with another woman (which I have considered IRL, but never done).
Out of nowhere, I am playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. I am doing the mission when you storm the Castel Sant'Angelo to rescue Caterina Sforza. Ezio is detected by guards, and I restart the memory, frustrated. My son comes in and I give him the controller, then I realize I am late for work.
    2. Assorted fragments 1/15-16/11

      1. A hotel where half of the guests act as butlers for the other guests.

      2. A swimming pool full of confetti launchers that activate when you step on them.

      3. Trying to put on stage makeup in the basement of the house in my old-old town.

      4. Going to summer camp.

      5. A bunch of girls invite me to a "het slumber party" on the stage of the gym in my old high school. Basically, everyone is supposed to sleep in a giant dogpile and prove their straightness by having no physical reactions to doing so. When I get into the dogpile, my pulse starts racing and I start to feel an *ahem* disturbance in the southern regions. To avoid suspicion, I pretend to be sleeping as heavily as the rest of them, but they still catch on and throw me out.

      6. A crumbling old hotel.

      7. I'm playing some sort of Mario Kart/F-Zero mashup game, and I win every race except the last one, where I come in second.

    3. 01/14/11 Halo 3 - Warthog Run

by , 01-15-2011 at 08:36 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Plans: This is the last night for Halo task for full credit on the Lucidity Power Trials Club, and it is my aim to do it with Dakota. Other than that, I will focus on just remembering something. I remembered a dream last night, I want to do it more! More!

I am in a place I don't recognize, and I am not lucid at the time. I look around to see where I am, and I see that it is winter, the ground is covered in snow, and I am a bit chilly. I think I'm doing quite well to be out in that weather and only be slightly chilly, but that might not last. I wish I had a jacket of some kind, and I am surprised when one seems to appear from nowhere. I put it on and look around more, I have absolutely no memory of how I came to be here, or even of where here is. I decide to do a nose-pinch RC, and I discover that I am dreaming.

I look around the place a bit more now that I am aware I am dreaming. I am in a cold and snowy place at the base of a mountain, there are paths or roads of some kind leading up the mountain, so I head for one of those roads. While I am walking in that direction I am thinking about my goals, about what it is that I want to accomplish in dreams this night. I remember the Halo Warthog mission, so I will try for that. I walk along the base of the mountain looking for a possible place for the Halo mission to start. I see a tunnel leading into the mountain that looks like a place for the mission to start, so I head in that direction. I am thinking another part of the goal is to look for Dakotahnok to see if we can confirm a shared dream. So I am also looking for him as I head to the cave entrance.

As soon as I get to the cave I see there is a man in there, he looks like he is waiting for something. I wonder if it could be Dakotahnok… then I realize I have no idea what Dakotahnok looks like! I approach the man and observe his appearance, he has short dark hair, is relatively tall with an average build, but then my attention gets drawn to his shirt… his t-shirt has Dakotahnok's spider avatar on it! He sees me and asks if I am Raven Knight, so I say yes, I ask if he is Dakotahnok… he doesn't answer me, but he looks very happy with the situation and says, "We did it! We did it!" He is very excited at the prospect, I think it is awesome that we made it work. Now if both of us can just remember this…

Dakotahnok and I aren't together for long, however, before we head in our own separate ways, as both of us are looking to complete the Halo task for the LPTC and this can't be done in a shared dream due to some people not accepting shared dreams at all, and for the ones that do, it would seem unfair to do a task as a team when everyone else has to do it individually. I tell Dakotahnok to make sure and remember the dream. He comments that I'm the one that has been having recall problems lately, touché… we go our separate ways.

I go into the cave, which cuts through an area of the mountain. It looks like the cave was carved through the rock by an intelligent race rather than a natural passage, it also winds around inside the mountain. There seem to be passages heading off to the side of the main passage, but I don't feel there was a need to explore them. There are strange mutant bug like things attacking me, I take a shotgun like weapon from my side and blast them, the blast takes out large groups of them at once.

I exit from the passage and find there is a vehicle parked on the other side, there is a voice speaking from somewhere… wtf? It is a female voice, it says to get in the Warthog and go, go, go! Wow… it's like I just stepped into the video game… I jump into the Warthog, and someone else gets in the back… I'm not sure who… or what… he is, he clearly isn't human, but it is just as obvious that he is on my side, so as he takes control of the mounted turret on the back of the Warthog, I floor it and head for the path leading up the side of the mountain.

As we are going up the mountain, the path winds around the outside of the mountain, but there are numerous wide places in it where there are structures off to the side. Mutant freaks are coming out of the structures and attacking us, they are swarming all around us, the guy in the back of the Warthog is blasting away at them, taking them down in waves. Some of them are in front of us, the Warthog is able to drive right over them, squish, squish, squish… I drive the Warthog farther up the mountain, it feels like the mountain must be a volcano about to erupt… the whole thing is shaking violently, large boulders are falling from above and crashing down towards the ground. I am driving the Warthog to the left and right to avoid the falling debris… An area of the path collapsed from in front of us, I am barely able to make the Warthog jump over the crevice to the other side… and I see the mountain is definitely a volcano, as there is lava flowing down through the crevice below. Things continue in this manner until we are near the top, where I see there is a space craft hovering a short distance off the mountain. The voice I heard earlier is saying to go for it, jump into the ship, before the entire place blows. I floor the Warthog and make the jump into the waiting landing bay of the ship.

It is briefly dark in the landing bay before the interior lights come on, revealing that the Warthog has wrecked at the far end, the big guy from the back has been thrown off to the other side of the landing bay, and I am on my ass near a pile of cargo crates. I go to check on the big guy, and I find he appears to be alive, just unconscious. Well, that's good. I figure the dream task is over, so I am ready to wake up… when there is an attack!

One of those mutant freaks is attacking, throwing off those strange bug things, it is really quite gross. It looks like one of the enemies off of the Silent Hill games. I remember I have to use Halo weapons, so I don't activate my Witchblade, instead look around and spot a plasma sword that the big guy seems to have dropped when the Warthog wrecked.

That is a pretty cool weapon, though, it cuts through and toasts the bug things on contact. I fight against the creature, climbing up on some of the cargo crates to get away from its attacks, then I jump down from the crates and attack the thing from above, slicing it nearly in half from top to bottom. The thing was UGLY! I'm not sure what it is… just that it is dead. More of the bug things crawl out of it, so I kill those, and once that is done I wake up.
    4. Weird Field trip and Modern Warfare 2 in math class

      by , 01-13-2011 at 03:13 AM
      THIS IS ALL NON LUCID:

      Field Trip:
We were swimming in a lake because it led to a cabin for a field trip. We all emerged on a rock then suddenly we all realized we all had no clothes on. I only saw the girls that I fancied and they were facing the rock cave walls because they were self conscious.

Then I went back to get my clothes and thats when i stopped forgetting.

      Modern Warfare 2:
As an assignment in math class, we had to play modern warfare 2. Me being the computer expert in real life, strangely did not know how to set it up. So this cute, preppy girl in my class helpmed me set it up and then even though it was Modern Warfare 2 we played on nuketown from black ops.

      01/09/11

I just found a Star Wars game for my phone. I decide to try it out, so I'm tilting it left and right, figuring out the controls. Spacebar is jump.

I'm in the game. My surroundings are a dank green, covered in vines and rot. This was a school once. I try out the jump command, disappointed when I realize I have only first-level force jump. It doesn't matter; I'll be able to get around just fine.

Obi-Wan's shade appears beside me to explain my mission. This is strange, because I'm pretty sure I'm a past version of him. The force ghost fizzles out and disappears, exploding into four green blobs of goo. They reform and immediately begin to scuttle about, taking shape as Gravelings, mischievous reptilian creatures that arrange the accidental deaths of the people around them.

I strike with my single lightsaber, v-stepping in and twisting away after I cut through the torso of one of the gravelings. The creature goes still in shock, before it disintegrates in a flash of red sparks. With a sweep of my lightsaber, the others are scuttling away. I finish them off with force lightening.

Later, alone in an empty room, I suddenly realize that I'm dreaming. It feels like waking up. I try to remember my goals, but I come up blank. Fine - I'll run. I love to run in dreams. I take a running start and leap from a four-foot ledge.

In one reality, I can feel myself flying.
I drift away, into the blue, blue sky, heedless of the ceiling that used to be there. Simultaneously I'm falling, landing. I can feel the remnants of the other reality until all four of my limbs slowly reach the floor. I lay my forehead onto the cold cement and just breathe.

I see Zoe, walking away into a crowd of faceless people. I call out to her, chase after her. Her blonde hair swishes as she half turns, keeps walking.

We're sitting side by side, looking at the massive crowd milling about through the mall. She's counting the cash in a till.

"There's something you want to tell me," she says, flipping through a pile of five dollar bills.

      "Yep."

She scowls, but doesn't turn to look at me. "Well?" she asks, "What is it?"

"You could say," I smile faintly, "That I have slightly more than platonic feelings for you."

      Her hands go still. "Oh."

"But that doesn't matter," I say, leaning back.

      "And why is that?"

"Because," I say, and I stretch my hands out in front of my face, "None of this is real."

And the dream dissolves into static.

    6. Dream Journal: Dinosaur, DotA, Mr. Gunin, New Dorm Room, Bo Burnham, Jerusalem mystery

      Dream 1-- Dinosaur at school

This dream is a recurring theme that I have noticed. Before, I had a dream in my house that I was being pursued by a T-rex. It was following me and leaving a path a wreckage behind. Somehow, I managed to trick it and found the time to exit the front door. The dream didn't stop there, I could see and hear the dinosaur continuing to wreck the house from the inside while I was safe outside. There were other dreams involving me getting chased to no end, but this dinosaur figure has been the most prominent and I think it suggests the helpless feeling my repressed "anima" has. I'll explain the dream and then get more into the hypothesis.

So I'm on this beautiful campus, which isn't really campus but is large, filled with people, and has tall buildings, walking around and minding my own business. I don't know how it started, but as I look behind me, there is this T-rex that is chasing me. I become immediately scared and start to run. The T-rex is this huge black/dark green figure and it's growls are more like screeches. No one else on campus seems to notice me running for my life or the giant dinosaur that is chasing me. I am mostly running on concrete, dodging these tall glass buildings that the dinosaur either runs into or just avoids.

As I come to a clearing, I realize it is a nice day. There is a giant grassy quad with a singular building at the end of it. I decide to make a run for it. I see people scattered around, but that doesn't concern me. I don't think to tell anyone or look at anybody because I'm too scared. I don't think to ask for help. I run along this pathway that leads straight to the front doors, which are tall glass doors with metal bars that you pull to open. There is a man wearing all white and a white hat standing at what seems like the front desk for a hotel. It's this pristine marble counter that glistens in the sun. The guy looks at me and smiles, but I have no time. I start running up this ramp made out of the same marble. There are silver bars one either side but I just disregard them.

As I am running up what appears to be a square-like spiral, I have this sense that I have a "mini-map" function in my head. I can sense where the dinosaur is in relation to me and I can tell where other people are. I can see all of this in a little icon that is similar to the one in WoW. Sprinting, I get more and more nervous as I see this green circle approaching my location. When I get to the top of the ramps, there is just a platform high above the ground. I look out to the quad where I started, and I see the dinosaur starting to head my way and the people walking around not even noticing. I panic and start to have an enormous feeling of dread. Not only did all my efforts fail, they ended up trapping me in this huge glass death box that now I can't escape from. Although I put myself up high, I separated myself from everyone and now I am forced to face the dinosaur without any chance of escape.

This dream says a lot to me about my subconscious and how it feels. The dinosaur represents my tyrannical parents, whose influence had to be avoided by my ego. My ego was running and running, overlooking other people and not explaining the problem to anybody because it seemed like they don't care or want to know, they are all occupied with their own lives. It finds this tall building, perhaps the salvation promised by reason and study and self-reflection. As I enter the building, I see this man in white who is smiling at me. This symbol is perhaps the key feature that will unlock whatever problem this dream represents. He could be a Dream Guide figure, who will know exactly how to stop the monster and save me from the pursuit or he could represent the character I want to achieve through the house of reason. I want to be this pure figure to other people, who smiles and is like the hotel clerk. So I struggle (seen by climbing up the ramps) to keep this facade and build up this persona, but the dinosaur knows exactly where I am and this persona actually ends up leading to an easier demise because I cannot escape. Interestingly, the building is made out of glass, so I can see out of it and look at the other people who are free, but I can also see the dinosaur. Perhaps this glass structure represents my own ability to see my dilemma clearly. I have a "window into the soul" so to speak. I feel like this dream indicates my need for either a dream guide or more serious self-reflection on my childhood. This dinosaur figure is truly bothersome and would require me to man up and become a hero in order to defeat it.

      Dream 2-- DotA revamped

I used to play this game on Warcraft III for the PC called Defense of the Ancients. I don't feel like explaining it in any detail. Anyway, the game starts from the player setup and the graphics are amazing. The loading screen is a series of accented letters, such as several forms of A, one with a squiggly above it, one with a circle, etc., and these letters are accompanied by sound effects and a glow on the screen. The game starts, and I am dark green. I don't know how to play this version at all because it is totally new and revamped. The controls are the same, but the hero selection and item choices are all different. Once again, instead of asking people for help, I just try and figure out the entire landscape on my own.

I first scroll through the players and see what color I am, which is indicated by a blue x in a rectangle of dark green. Everyone else on my team has picked their hero at this point. Suddenly, on my screen I am presented with a huge list of possible choices for a hero. I decide to pick shiney because I feel like I know exactly who that is from my previous experience playing in the old version and I want to be sneaky for the first part of the game and figure out what's going on.

My hero appears as a zergling, along with everyone else's, and I go through the various shops to try and buy items. I only get to buy two things that seem rather irrelevant, and I am forced to go into my lane (which is the top lane) because the creeps have spawned. As I walk up, I am prepared for battle, and I know an enemy hero will be coming. I only get to my first tower when I run into the opponent and a massive swarm of creeps. He uses some form of poison cloud and it instantly kills me. I respawn really fast, run back up and then get attacked by all the creeps, who surround me and claw at me until I die again. As I am dead, I pan around the map to my allies to see what items they bought. I click on blue, and see he has a trinket that makes him invulnerable to poison (which would have been helpful) and five other items. He is killing the creeps with efficiency and not dying at all. There is also red but I don't have time to click on him.

When I quit, I come back into "reality" (which is still a dream) of looking at my computer which I shut off. I am not in the usual location that I would play my computer. I am in the upstairs library of my house facing a window. Suddenly, I get a pang of nervousness and anxiety that I haven't done any of my homework that I should have been doing and have been procrastinating. I walk to my room, which is right next door, and fall on my comfy bean bag chair. I look at a folder, but don't actually get anything done. I wake up.

Dream 3-- Classes and Mr. Gunin

I'm back on this campus with glass buildings, but there is no dinosaur. Instead, it seems like I'm going to and from classes, entering and leaving different buildings and talking to different people. As I walk into this one class, we watch an episode of south park on a screen. I go into PassObs and get enveloped in the show as I watch it, but I can't remember exactly what the episode was about. Suddenly, I am walking out of the glass building. I am outside on top of a small concrete passageway between two glass buildings. It appears as if it just rained due to the slippery and reflective nature of the ground. I decide to untuck my shirt and untie my shoes because I am dressed pretty formally. I have a dark blue button-down, grey pants and a dark belt, and dress shoes. As I walk through the next door, I see three of my friends, who run up and start talking to me.

They ask me about class, and I tell them we watched south park. They ask what episode, and it occurs to me that I don't remember specifically but I still try and explain it because I have a feeling that I will know what to say. I am stuttering horribly, however, and can't even recall the names of the different characters. I am consciously trying to recall them, and I can see pictures of their faces in my head even in my dream! I decide the one dressed in orange with the green hat is named Kyle, and I start to explain how the four boys were skiing. One of my friends takes the cue and asks if it was the episode where, and he goes on a long explanation of the episode. I don't know exactly but I am like yea that's totally it.

I start to walk away, and I am walking to the left of a nice looking lounge area. There is a black couch and two black leather chairs all facing a table and all on top of a carpet. As I am about to exit the building, I see Mr. Gunin walking on the other side of the door because it's made of glass. I become really self-conscious that my shirt is untucked and my shoes are untied because Mr. Gunin was the head of upper school and would hand out detentions for uniform violations. He smiles and says Hey Jay Max, his usual greeting and walks through the door. I go into PassObs thinking about how stupid I must look and whether I should fix my clothing.

Dream 3 (Fragment)-- New Dorm Room

I'm walking around this new dorm room, that is much larger than the one I am currently in and honestly looks nothing like this one. There is a bunk bed on the far left of the room, and I apparently sleep on the top bunk. I walk around just noticing different things. The floor is carpeted, there is an opening to another room that seems to lack furniture and is just an open space with window light shining through. As I walk toward my bed, I notice that there is a list of questions on a laminated sheet of paper hanging from my bed. These questions are review questions for the final exam that basically ask everything that was on the test. I get really mad/sad thinking that if this was here the whole time I would have easily passed the test so I must be stupid for overlooking this and I try to convince myself that there is no way that could have been there because I would have seen it. This internal debate makes me go PassObs and I wake up.

      Dream 4-- I'm Bo Yo

I hear the song I'm Bo Yo being sung by Bo Burnham in my head. I am on the backstair case of my house. As I am looking at the wall, I see a framed piece of paper that has some of the lyrics on it, but they are all wrong. As I listen to the song he sings, I try to sing along, thinking I know what he is going to say, but he actually comes up with either an entirely new rhyme or I'm just stupid. Not being able to sing along brings me into PassObs and I drift out of the dream.

      Dream 5-- Jerusalem Mystery

This dream was really long and complex. It was almost as if me and my dad were in a movie together and we were solving the crime as it was happening. This would make sense because my dad, whenever we watch movies, will always lean towards me and tell me exactly what he thinks will happen in the next scene or who the bad guy is or some other prediction, and it always annoys me how often he is right. I just sit and watch while he solves the crime. My passive role appears clearly in this dream, where we are going from place to place trying to collect clues and evidence, but my dad is doing all the work while I just watch and follow along.

The plot of the dream was really cool. We were detectives trying to solve the crime of a million dollars being stolen. I don't remember the whole dream due to it's length, but there is this one location in the dream that occurred twice. We are standing on this wooden dock, looking out at this lake, and there is various baggage floating on top of the water. It's a weird occurrance, but we don't know what to do about it. As we gather more evidence, we realize that the criminal is trying to blow up this city and escape to Jerusalem with his million dollars, which are locked away securely in those pieces of luggage!

We immediately return to the luggage and jump in the water, but we have to tread shallowly because we know that there are bombs directly underneath us. As we near the baggage, I blink and suddenly everything changes. In front of me is another dock, which I get on top of soaking wet. I am on a floating platform a little bit above the water, and I see my dad standing on the actual pier which is separated by a ladder. I climb the ladder, and walk down the pier, but realize I don't know where I am anymore. I look back to the platform on the water, and see that there are two people on it now, N. Whit and a girl. I walk back over and try to climb down the ladder, when I realize I am no longer wearing a shirt. Climbing down is really hard, but I manage it and once I reach the bottom the dream ends.
    7. Playing video games

      by , 10-12-2010 at 11:43 AM
So me and my friend Eglė were playing video games, and the first video game was some sort of 8bit video game didn't make much sense, something like shooting balls bouncing of walls in the game. And my friend kept screamign "teach me teach me" like a 4 year old. And after that she told me to put on mortal kombat. So i look on the floor see this semi-broken genesis cartrige of mortal kombat and open up the cuppboard and pull out an old Genesis console.
then I start pulling out controllers , first goes the 3 button standard one , then the playstation like controller , then like a bunch of NES controllers and i just can't find the 6 button one. And i wake up

    8. 1st lucid! :D

      by , 10-11-2010 at 06:37 PM
Ok so I finally had my first ever lucid dream since I've been keeping my dream journal. Here's how it went: starts out in my house nothing too unusual going on my foster mom and dad are in their room laying down and I'm walking around the house, in the living room there is a large woman working a bar that sells some delicious cakes, she seems to like me but I'm more interested in the cakes, when there's is only one left she tell me she can't sell anymore so i go to my sisters room and find my friends psp. Finding his psp in her rooms bothers me because i'de been asking to borrow the thing for ages and he wouldn't let me so i pick it up and start battling (He had the new birth by sleep kingdom hearts game; fitting for something in the dream world.)eventually i go into the game and start running around, though it's no longer kingdom hearts its more mario/zelda themed and i have a sword, Somehow i run into my friend Butters in the game and he wants to try a sword trick he's figured out we do the trick and somehow i think the trick is relevant to a reality check so when it causes me to appear back in my parents room from the start of the dream, i realize hey it worked and start walking around the house seeing if i can gain some dream control. I try to make some grapes appear to see if i can do it and there are like three, another interesting thing to note is that my friend came with me from the game back to the house (along with a few others) but in the transition he turned from Butters in the game part to my friend randy once we got back to my house.
    9. Night of 9/30-10/1

      by , 10-01-2010 at 01:04 PM (SCPantera's Dream Journal)
Had a number of fragmentoid dreams that seemed to mostly have to do with Dead Rising 2, which I finally got around to installing and playing extensively yesterday. I also remember a sequence where I went out to best buy to buy some expensive, $2000 computer hardware. When I brought it home, took off the plastic wrapping, and opened the box to find a set of elaborate-looking gun gaming peripherals. Realizing this purchase was a terrible idea, I ask my wife if it's too late to return it and she tells me that they won't without the plastic wrapping.
    10. Night of 9/27-9/28

      by , 09-28-2010 at 10:47 PM (SCPantera's Dream Journal)
      Two sequences of note tonight.

I was in a large metropolitan city. I was driving (with some other people?) to some shop that sells herbal products. I/we went inside to check things out; I walked around checking out products, being my normal smug, condescending self when confronted with herbal products. For whatever reason, I stay inside wandering around after they close, I end up staying there overnight. During the night and as morning approached I argued with the owner, some hipster chick, over why the vast majority of her products were utter bullshit. I stick around for a little while after they open then eventually leave.

I either am or am playing my paragon adept femshep in some ME2-like game. Our ship is under attack by some unknown force, so I'm scrambling about the ship doing damage control. We take a big hit and something notifies me that I need to go check it out immediately or the crew will die, so I quickly head there. There's a big hole in the ship, but it's blocked off automatically by a glass door or a forcefield or something, but I can see that two crew members had gotten sucked out through the damaged hull. I grab three oxygen masks and then jump out after them. I'm able to get to them and get them set up with oxygen in time, but we're now out in space and drifting away from the ship. I turn to look back and observe that it doesn't look like the Normandy, but it looked reminiscent of one of the airships from Final Fantasy 6 (only more obligatorily high tech). It's facing away from us, and it jumps out to light speed but then immediately jumps back so that it's coming towards us again to pick us up.
    11. Night of 9/23-9/24

      by , 09-24-2010 at 02:15 PM (SCPantera's Dream Journal)
There were definitely some dreams last night, but my memory of them is kind of a messy whirlwind of scenes. It seems I was in some sort of weird remake of Suikoden 3. I remember there was some kind of flashback scene where Thomas and the gang from Budehuc Castle were all children and living in some kind of mansion when they get attacked by some unidentifiable monster. They flee to a room, but it follows them and they enter into a battle that they're supposed to lose for the story (very Suikoden 3-ish). Later it seems as though the army of the protagonists are lined up on a beach, getting ready for battle, but it seems that Luc is with them and when the battle starts he uses some big wind attack. Sometime later again, I'm chasing someone through some ruins, and in these ruins are intermittent portals that lead to various other passageways. Whomever I was chasing managed to trick me into going into a wrong portal, and it seemed to transport me to a mansion-like place where I run into young Thomas and the gang, who see me and run away scared. I follow them to be sure that whomever I was chasing wasn't here. I follow them into the same room as before, where they turn around and attack me. I fight back and easily defeat them all (even more Suikoden 3-style Trinity Site dickery). I then go back to the ruins where I give up, having lost whomever I was chasing. Next, I recall I'm staying as a guest in a bedroom at the top of a tower on a white mansion that belongs to the mayor of some kind of small town I was passing through. During the day I explore the town, it's surrounded by a high wall on the outskirts and when I find the lone gate the gatekeeper turns me away and tells me that I can't leave at this time. As I wander back I come across a small-town grocery store, that I briefly wander through before returning to my room. That night, I decide to sleep naked, but sometime during the night I need to go to the bathroom so I go down from the tower to use a bathroom. While I'm in there I hear the mayor's daughter and several of her girlfriends return from a night out. I try to sneak by them and make it to the tower, but there's a room I need to pass through on the way up where there's one girl on one side of the room playing video games on a TV on the other side of the room so that I'd need to pass by in front of her. Realizing I can't sneak by, I surrender to circumstance and try to quickly walk through the room with as much dignity as I can muster. The next day, the mayor is making an announcement that the girls did something wrong and have to be sacrificed; I wonder to myself if it was because the girl saw me naked, but nobody seems to think I'm responsible for their girls getting sacrificed. The girls are placed intermittently on top of the walls around the village, and then bombs in the walls are detonating, knocking them down and presumably killing the girls. Afterwards, the townsfolk return to their lives nonchalantly, but I decide to check the wrecked walls for any survivors. When I make my way over to the destroyed walls. I see many people walking around outside the destroyed walls, but no sign of the girls. There's one guy who's standing still, I notice him and he waves me over, he tells me he has a mission for me. As he's explaining it, I turn and see the person from before whom I was chasing. They also notice me and take off running. I chase them up from the wrecked wall to a section of the wall that's not destroyed and across several rooftops in a way that's reminiscent of Assassin's Creed. We go through another portal and I find myself in an Assassin's Creed style city. I see a map that outlines my mission, to eliminate a target somewhere in the city, however my memory of the dream ends before I head out to start the mission.

    12. Morning of 9/23 part 2

      by , 09-24-2010 at 12:18 AM (SCPantera's Dream Journal)
Third sequence: this one was longer, but my recall only retained a fragment of the ending. The dream was some kind of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RPG; it was in slightly dated video game graphics and all the dialogue occurred in dialogue boxes Suikoden style. Some villain (who may or may not have been Shredder, who made an incidental appearance during the villain's escape) was disguised as Donatello. They go into a plain, empty bland rectangular room with wooden plank floors. On the fall wall near the corner there's a bay window. Someone whom I'm not able to recall enough to identify approaches the window, and is suddenly kidnapped as fake-Don reveals himself. He grabs the person, then runs to the picture window, where he teleports away (as the villain escapes, an image of Shredder is projected onto the window. Michaelangelo is devastated, but is comforted by Raphael.

The fourth sequence is another interesting and memorable one, for a handful of reasons. There were several subtle indications throughout the dream that in this particular dream I'm female. As it was, I was trying to infiltrate some kind of evil amusement park (thinking about it now, it's reminiscent of L4D2). At the lines to get in, I'm able to jump over the in order to sneak in. There's a direct passage in off to my right and up some stairs. It leads to an area just off one of the busy pathways in the park. There I met my contact, who happened to be Neil Patrick Harris, whom I was starstruck to see in an unusual, excitably girlish kind of way (subtle hint #1). We walked through the crowd as he explained my mission, but as we were walking I noticed another Neil Patrick Harris casually stroll by. I looked at the NPH who had been talking to me and suddenly realized he was a fake. He knew that I knew he was fake, so he pinned me to a wall and then proceeded to try to rape me. At this point (and I'm finding some more comic irony in how it reminds me of L4D2) the dream went third person, so while my gender in this dream may now be obvious looking back, what with the slim girlish figure, long blond hair tied back in a ponytail, breasts, and a vagina, keep in mind I was going by dream logic at the time so none of this seemed outlandishly apparent. I remember having that odd sort of rape victim psychological crisis where I was simultaneously scared and angry that I was about to be forced into sex against my will and slightly flattered that NPH wanted to have sex with me. Anyways, before it got particularly graphic the dream reset back to the beginning where I was a the line to get into the amusement park. This time, sneaking in I took a pathway to the left. It leads into a backroom/warehousey area. I realize I may have tripped some alarm or that somehow they knew where I was trying to sneak in, because a ways up ahead I could see several strangely dressed girls whom I identified as being with the amusement park's security. I'm able to disable most of them by stealth shooting a barrel that explodes and then a fire extinguisher, knocking them all out but one. The remaining girl looks around suspicious and confused, so I attempt to sneak by her. I make it about halfway through the area she's patrolling when she sees me. I immediately run forward, trying to find an exit while she gives chase. We go running for a little ways down a wide hallway, then up some stairs to a raised catwalk for a ways, then up another set of stairs to a higher catwalk where I find a door. I go through the door and close it behind me. I'm now on a platform jutting out from the building; there's nowhere to go but fall a few stories down. Fortunately, for whatever reason, there's a column of stacked wooden chairs a short distance away from the catwalk and I realize I can jump onto the chairs and then ride them slowly down as they break under me for a soft landing(!?), so that's what I do. I'm now in kind of dusty and sandy area that seems to be a seldom traveled passage around the outside of the park; I can hear music and crowds off in the distance and it's now dusk. Dream ends as I walk towards the amusement park.
    13. Morning of 9/23 part 1

Hit quite the jackpot on dreams this morning. This is made somewhat ironic in that I'm in the nadir of an annoying upper respiratory tract infection, so I didn't put any effort into dreaming for the night. Finally, since our alarm didn't go off this morning, I didn't have time to fully write these up in the 10 minutes I had to get ready and arrive at work. Also, splitting the rest into two entries to make room for plenty of tags.

Second sequence (note that this is #2 following the short sequence in the previous entry): I was driving in a car with my family again. We were turning onto University Drive from 19th avenue north. For some reason we were discussing Oblivion/Morrowind mods. We were apparently headed to the Fargodome for some reason. We parked and got out to go inside. Inside I spent most of my time at the food court there, ate a meal and loitered about. When my mom was ready to go we went out to the car and then pulled up to the entrance to wait for my dad and brother to come out. They came out just as I was getting impatient. As we turned back onto University Drive the dream transitioned into me physically playing in one of the mods we were discussing earlier (everything seemed real and not as though it looked like video game graphics). I enter some random house. As I walk in, a thin, thugish looking man comes to see who entered and meets me. Surveying the room, I notice he has a desperate-looking woman naked and tied down (I'm not sure if I realized it at the time, but I recognized after the fact that she strongly resembled my wife). Inferring that the man was about to rape her, I immediately slew the man. I turned and was about to leave without untying the woman when I figured I might as well not waste an opportunity and stripped down to have sex with her. At this point she didn't resist as though I was going to rape her, but she was very inviting and willing and quite turned on as well. It was very sensual and amazing sex; I entered her slowly and completely at first and then held it there, feeling her around me. She reached down to play with her clit as I held there, which was very erotic. After a short while we begin to have a good old aggressive, animalistic fuck.

Unfortunately it ended before it reached a climax. I have a reflex I've developed over the years that wakes me up from some sex dreams before they finish in order to avoid having to clean up the aftermath. This time it was mildly disappointing, but not in that it at least left me with the memory. Though the dream wasn't lucid, it is a memory I enjoy recalling and it's something I need to remember to perhaps emulate in lucid dreams in the future. It's also worth noting that my dream avatar is much thinner, allowing for some unrealistic actions during sex.
    14. Night of 9/18-9/19

      by , 09-19-2010 at 02:43 PM (SCPantera's Dream Journal)
Had a couple of dreams. When I woke up after the first one, my wife was awake and using my computer so I couldn't document it, but I tried to focus on retaining the memory and I believe I've still got everything from that particular dream that I remembered as of waking then (though I note even by then it felt like the front part of the dream is partially missing).

I'm living in some different house or apartment and decide I'm going to bed so I go to my room which has just a lone single bed. When I turn off the light, I sense that there's some kind of demon was in my bed so I call an exorcist. The exorcist tells me they'll be over soon, but meanwhile I should put a clove of garlic in my pocket for protection. I didn't have any garlic at home, so I went out to the grocery store to buy one. The exorcist was there by the time I returned. The exorcist brought me into my room and pulled back the blanket the foot of the bed. There was a tiny demon that looked kinda like trolls from WoW, but it had horns. The exorcist explained that this demon was an "Ettin" and is not extremely dangerous but can be annoying. The exorcist showed me that you can stretch and mess with the Ettin's horns. Somehow this transitioned into the exorcist and me (who had both now changed character) walking around a war camp in a place whose art style resembled World of Warcraft (I wonder if I was perhaps just lucid enough that my observation on the Ettin's appearance warped the dream's progression?) We were walking around the camp while the former exorcist explained to me the situation; we were camped in an Elwynn Forest-like area outside of a large gate. I was told that this was the entrance to a fortress that was heavily guarded and we were having trouble finding a way to bust in.

Now I'm reasonably sure I woke up there in that first dream, but there was what was either an interlude before I woke up that I'm only now remembering or the dream semi-continued when I went back to sleep. It featured a handful of characters from the Suikoden series. As it continued, I zoomed out to watch the action. The gate to the fort was the last major fortified objective between the protagonist army and their objective--a large castle in the northwest. As the attack on the fortress was renewed once more, Griffith led a large force out of the castle to the fort, where fighting intensified. Meanwhile an expedition led by Chris was deeper in the forest to the southeast, trying to find some secret weapon that would help them get through the fort.

The following is what I remember from the dream I just woke up from. At first I thought this sequence may be separate, but thinking about it now it makes some sense in context if I argue that the first person sequence that occurs here is where I am part of Chris' expedition. As it went, I remember thinking I was in either some new MMO or some new patch for WoW where there's a new instance. It's inside of a cave in the side of a mountain cliff outside of a large grassy field. I go in with a party of people; the cave is wide but straight back. We fight our way back, but decide to stop and call it a night shortly before reaching the boss at the back; at the back there was a pillow that you were supposed to touch to activate the encounter. Outside I'm talking with some people, apparently mad that we didn't keep going when we were so close. I eventually decide I'm just gonna go in and pull the boss to at least see what they are. I enter the cave by myself but the layout has changed considerably. The cave is still wide and generally straight, but the pathway now winds back and forth and there are many more monsters inside. I run my way back through the cave, dodging attacking monsters. As I reach the end I jump across a series of small rock platforms in the water and then jump onto the final platform, where I continue by jumping onto the pillow. I seem to think there was a black demon that appeared in front of a mirror on the right wall, but I woke up right about here.

    15. Night of 9/16-9/17

      by , 09-17-2010 at 01:18 PM (SCPantera's Dream Journal)
I had an interesting set of dreams last night, but my memory of them is rather disjointed. It was heavily inspired by Myst and Riven, which I have been replaying and playing through respectively after having picked up the Cyan pack on Steam (a nice, reasonable $20 for some hardcore classic PC games). The dreams take the form of that sort of exploration through surreal-yet-logical realms. I seemed to have a sense of dread most of the time; I imagine this mimics the emotions one trapped in a Myst-like experience might have. The first area I can remember was sort of a Myst-island style hub area, but looked a lot different. I was in a grassy plains area; there was a path heading through, several large rocks or canyon walls, one path led off to a lagoon area, another path led off to a large, imposing purple-black castle in the distance. Every so often along the path some animals would try to attack me: a swarm of insects near the lagoon, a snake in the grass a ways in front of the castle. I stopped playing this game and decided to try the older original version. I remember seeing an intro sequence and the Myst intro theme music playing, and thinking that this intro sequence was absent in the remake. It was mostly the same as the 3D one, but presented in still images like the original Myst; the creatures attacking me looked like they were relatively poorly rendered. I moved on to an apparent sequel, this one also in 3D. I have a small memory of something in a village that was on stilts above a lake or ocean; the water and sky were both black or dark gray. There was also a forest, with different patches of green, blue and purple, and red and orange forest. I remember having that same sense of confused frustration as to what to do next that I had yesterday when playing Riven. I found a pair of ropes hanging in the orange forest, whenever I pulled one a basket on the end of a rope would come down from the treetops and there would be some unusual objects that were meant to be hints inside.

Thinking about that last bit reminds me of a different sequence, though again I only seem to remember a few details. I was in some sort of RPG. We were in a city mostly. I knew there was a hard boss fight we had to go to at the top of a several-story-high building, so I was spending a lot of time doing various tasks to prepare for it.
